Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term that encompasses all immersive technologies that blend the physical and digital worlds.
Origin Fest was a groundbreaking event focused on empowering students and educators by immersing them in the transformative world of Virtual Reality (VR). It brought together high school and university students, along with their teachers, to explore the vast opportunities VR offers across education and technology.
At the heart of Origin Fest was an extensive training program centered on Unity, the leading platform for VR development. Participants received hands-on instruction in coding and designing immersive VR environments, giving them practical skills to build virtual classrooms, educational programs, and interactive projects.
The festival was organized around four distinct categories, each designed to challenge and inspire students to create innovative VR projects. These categories encouraged creative thinking and technical proficiency, as students applied their newfound coding and design skills to develop meaningful VR experiences.
Teachers also played a crucial role, receiving specialized training to help integrate VR into their curricula and better support their students’ learning journeys. By equipping educators with these tools, Origin Fest helped foster a sustainable ecosystem for VR education.
Overall, Origin Fest was more than a festival—it was a dynamic training hub that ignited passion for VR technology, nurtured technical expertise, and opened new pathways for educational innovation among the next generation of creators.
